About the cottage

"This is a wonderful cottage. We enjoyed our walk in the Galloway Forest Park, the food at The Clachan Inn and the calm hours in from of the fire in the living room! It was so relaxing."  Gefion, Ralph and Adein, Germany.  September 2012

Cleughbrae Cottage is beautifully furnished throughout and offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Sleeping 6 people, with room for a cot and folding bed in 2 of the rooms it could accommodate two families, or if preferred a weekend away for couples. If you wanted to be really indulgent you could book the house for a romantic getaway for two and having all that lovely space to yourselves.

"Some fantastic scenery, great sense of isolaton, very relaxing.  Log fire amazing as is the power shower. Thanks for an amazing experience."  PS definately  coming back"!          Scott Snowden, Grimsby.

The cottage has oil central heating and there is a thermostat located in the kitchen. It is a very cosy and very well insulated and when the log burner is on and the sitting room door open you will find it heats the whole house very quickly.
