Whether you are keen to just chill or are more the outdoors type there is plenty to do, cycling, walking, fishing and golfing to name a few.  Being so close to the Galloway Forest Park, famous for its Dark Skies, the beautiful starry skies will impress you!

"Astronomy writer Will Gater," recently seen on the "One Show"   stayed for a week at the cottage, he wrote in the visitors book :-   "Stunning dark skies from the cottage. Wonderful views of the night sky to the west and south particularly, and the proximity to the heart of the forest park is ideal for those wanting to explore the various other IDA stargazing sites."  March, provide a pick up and drop off service if you fancy walking part of the Southern Upland Way, they are located in St John’s Town of Dalry, fishing permits can be bought in the village shop.
